Boss Hunter’s Decorations
INTRO
What do boss hunters’ houses look like in Tibia? Back in 2023, while we were still known as TibiaFanart.com, we joined forces with our friends at TibiaBosses.com to explore that very question. To find out, we launched the “Boss Hunter’s Decorations” contest — and the results showed that there’s no single right answer! Some homes are decorated to reflect the creature that was hunted, while others follow the theme of a recent event. In some cases, the entire setup is built around a rare looted item – a trophy the owner takes pride in. Sometimes, it’s simply a matter of personal taste, like a favorite color palette.
The truth is, decoration styles can be as unique and varied as the boss hunters themselves. Yet, one element almost always ties them together – the Podium of Vigour, proudly displaying images of Tibia’s most iconic bosses.
These bosses take on many roles in house design: they can be the centerpiece and theme, a supporting detail, or even just part of the background. So, if you’re a boss hunter looking to showcase your passion through your house but worry it might turn into a static museum of trophies and podiums — keep reading! Who knows, maybe the ideas below will spark your creativity and inspire your next great decoration!

Podium of Vigour
The Podium of Vigour is a unique item that allows players to permanently display the image of a boss inside their house. It’s closely tied to the Bosstiary system, and both owning and using it depend on your activity in boss hunting.
You receive your first podium for free after unlocking the expertise level of your first boss. Additional podiums can be purchased from NPC Emael for 10,000,000 gold coins each, as you continue to fill out your Bosstiary and unlock new bosses.
It’s important to note, however, that you can only display bosses that have reached at least the expertise level in your Bosstiary. Defeating a boss just once won’t be enough to showcase it in your house – you’ll need to hunt it repeatedly to reach the required completion level.
You can find more about the Podium of Vigour – including all technical details and how it works in the article below.
Inspirations
But how can you use the Podium of Vigour in your house without making it look dull or like a typical showcase of defeated bosses? Is there a way to present the bosses you’re proud of in a more creative and original way?
In the following section, we’ll share several truly inspiring decoration, grouped by idea. Feel free to draw inspiration from them – and let your imagination lead you to equally unique designs!
Colors
Sometimes, bosses in Tibia come with a very distinct color scheme. And while their backstory, environment, or quest might seem secondary when it comes to decorating, color alone can play a key role in enhancing a room’s aesthetic and tying everything together visually.
The Source of Corruption
(Archfoe)
A perfect example is the decoration below, where the star of the show is the color pink. To emphasize this color theme, the boss The Source of Corruption was used. Despite its intimidating name and dark lore, this boss appears as a soft, pink orb with simple animations – surprisingly fitting for a bright, cheerful setup.
Decorations built around a specific color palette can be taken even further by adding light-emitting items, which we covered in detail in our dedicated “Light Effects” article — make sure to check it out!
By pairing The Source of Corruption with one of the light sources listed below, you can give your decoration a noticeable pink glow, depending on your client settings.
Charged Compass (Violet)
Giant Amethyst
Purple Tendril Lantern
Trapped Lightning
Pink is, of course, just one example of a specific color scheme. Whether you go for this hue or opt for another — like red, green, or blue — you’ll find plenty of bosses whose appearance can strongly emphasize your chosen palette. These visual elements can add an extra layer of depth and cohesion to your decorations, making the overall theme even more striking.

Themes
Another way to use boss images in your house decoration is to choose a clear theme – then select bosses whose appearance fits that concept.
With such a wide variety of boss graphics available, many of them can perfectly complement the atmosphere you’re going for. For example, some bosses enhance the feeling of the environment they’re from – be it icy landscapes, dense jungles, demonic realms, fiery dungeons, underwater areas, ancient treasure chambers, or dragon lairs.
Below, you’ll find a few examples of themed decorations along with boss choices that bring them to life.

Dragon Lair
If you decide to create a dragon’s lair-themed decoration, you’ll have plenty of boss images to choose from. There’s a wide variety of dragon designs available, from classic shapes to more intricate forms, all the way to undead skeletal dragons. The color palette is just as diverse, offering even more creative options. You won’t be short on choices!

Frozen Lands
An icy realm can also be a fantastic decoration idea. Tibia offers plenty of items that reflect a frozen climate, mostly in cool blue tones – there’s even an entire furniture set made of ice! And of course, there are several boss images that fit perfectly within that frosty theme.

Runic Ice Shield
Icicle Bow
Icy Culottes
Trapped Lightning
Northern Star
Queen’s Sceptre
Eye of the Storm
Pharaoh Chambers
Fighting the Pharaohs may not be as popular as it once was, and the value of their rare loot has dropped over the years – but when it comes to decoration, they still offer a very compelling theme. A wide range of items referencing Ankrahmun, Pharaohs, tombs, and scarabs makes it easy to build around this idea. And if you happen to own some of those rare drops, they’ll instantly elevate your design to the next level.

Vampires
A vampire-themed design can be a particularly enjoyable idea for boss hunters who love taking on Vampire Lords and collecting Vampire Lord Tokens. While the selection of vampire-related boss images isn’t especially large, the task is made easier by the fact that some of these bosses belong to the Bane category.

As for vampiric themes, the number of rare decorative items is small — but the ones that do exist can be impressive statement pieces. They’re definitely worth the effort to obtain. Sure, you can always buy them — but looting them yourself from bosses? That’s where the true satisfaction (and boss hunter spirit!) lies.

Haunted Mirror Piece
The Vampire Count’s Medal
Vampire’s Signet Ring
Vampire Silk Slippers
And this is just a small glimpse of what you can come up with!

Events
Another creative way to showcase your Podiums is to draw inspiration from a specific event – whether it’s one from Tibia or even from real life. And what better example than Halloween? Celebrated annually in the game, this spooky event brings The Mutated Pumpkin to the western sands of Darashia – a perfect candidate to be the star of your seasonal decoration.
But Mutated Pumpkin not the only one who fits the theme! Bosses like Ekatrix, Vampire Lords, Pharaohs, or any other grotesque creature can easily become part of your spooky setup – as eerie costumes or frightening characters in their own right.
So, what about you? What ideas do you have for event-themed decorations?

Quests
You can take inspiration from specific in-game events a step further – why not base a decoration on a quest that challenged you and left a lasting impression? Recreate the adventure through your design and feature the bosses you had to defeat as the stars of the scene! For an even more creative twist, you could try replicating actual rooms or environments from the quest itself.
A fantastic example of this approach is the house shown below, cleverly transformed to resemble a room from one of Tibia’s most iconic quests – the Annihilator Quest. The decorator didn’t stop there though — author boosted the idea by swapping the regular demons for mighty archdemons!
The result is a piece that’s both visually striking and full of nostalgic charm with a playful twist. Absolutely brilliant!

Pop Culture
Does a boss hunter-themed decoration always have to scream “boss hunting” and be painfully obvious – to the point of being a little boring? Of course not! In our previous inspiration sets, we’ve already shown that boss appearances can be used as creative tools to tell a story or explore a theme – not just as trophies on display. You can take things further by blending the real world with the game world, drawing inspiration from pop culture: movies, games, books, or TV shows can all become the spark behind your Tibian designs.
Take, for instance, the classic pop culture trope of people transforming into animals under a full moon – a theme rooted in folklore and mythology that became widespread in the 19th century. It’s instantly recognizable and continues to inspire. Think Twilight, The Witcher, or Harry Potter. In Tibia, the regions of Edron and Grimvale are packed with references to this idea, along with bosses whose looks perfectly match the werewolf legend, like Darkfang, Feroxa – ideal for turning your house into a scene straight out of a gothic tale.
Decorations can also be based on a specific work of fiction – like the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. Who doesn’t know the story of the children lost in the woods, stumbling upon a house made of candy and pastries, only to find it belongs to a wicked witch in disguise? This kind of theme is practically made for a Tibian home, and Ekatrix fits right in as the perfect villain.

And of course, we couldn’t forget Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings – a fantasy epic just begging to be brought to life in Tibia. Author of the decoration below used just three bosses – Arthom The Hunter, Izcandar The Banished, and Mornenion – to create a scene inspired by Middle-earth. But the possibilities don’t stop there: Dharalion, Elvira Hammerthrust, Foreman Kneebiter, Black Knight, and both Izcandar Champions are all great options. Need an orc-like boss to complete your vision? Try battling Bibby Bloodbath or Warlord Ruzad to get that perfect centerpiece.

There are countless ways to bring pop culture themes to life using bosses in Tibia. Your imagination is the only limit – certainly not the wide range of characters available in the game! 😉
Contest Winner
MONZCARRO MURCATTO AND HER TIBIA BOSSES STORIES
We would like to dedicate a separate paragraph to the winner of the “Boss Hunter’s Decorations” contest organized by TibiaBosses.com and TibiaFanart.com in 2023 and her entries. The contest broke records of interest among decorating contests, receiving nearly 100 decorations, however, the most highly rated work was one of Monzcarro Murcatto‘s decorations, titled “Unaz And Irgix Discover That They Both Have Hearts”.
Monzi realised all the decorations in a huge house you can rent in Kazordoon – Forge Master’s Quarters. Four rooms allowed four different decorations to be presented, both in terms of color and message. Some of them became independent, others combined their stories.
Although only the titles were published in the contest, it is worth exploring the stories and ideas behind the creation of these amazing decorations. After the contest was over we had the pleasure of talking to the author herself, and now we can tell you a few words about each of them.
“Festive Bubbles” – a colorful party, an atmosphere full of fun and joy, and playing with the contrast between green and orange colors…
“Party of 1” – …however, not everyone was invited. It’s a decoration that is funny and sad at the same time. Perhaps in time, someone will notice through the wall of lava Zamulosh playing with himself alone and decide to offer him to join in the fun!
“Dracola’s Love Nest” – is a romantic, but a bit morbid decoration – the lovers sleep on a bed made of parts of their bodies. The scene also has a deeper meaning. “I was thinking a lot about the lives of tibia bosses. They get killed several times each day and then they wake up, so I suppose they just have to make the best out of their situation. Find love and enjoy the moments of peace in between deaths.” – Monzi told us.
“Unaz And Irgix Discover That They Both Have Hearts” – a concept in which something pure evil is able to fall in love. Decoration is quite tricky, as creating a contrast with black and white color is difficult in Tibia. Perhaps some of you have noticed that after moving the black part by about 2 SQM towards the white part, the shape formed from the purple background will become a heart? 😉
How do you like decorations that not only please the eye, attract attention with interesting stacks and intense colors, but also tell stories and take on a deeper meaning?
