Podium of Renown

INTRO

Back in February 2021, the game introduced a pretty wild item called the Podium of Renown – and for anyone who’s even remotely into decorating their in-game house, it was basically a total game changer. Suddenly, decorating wasn’t just about placing furniture, plants, and random shiny stuff everywhere. Nope. Now you could plop down a podium and flex your outfits and mounts like it’s a fashion show in your living room.

It opened up a whole new level of creativity. Not only could you show off your hardest-earned outfits and rare mounts, but you could also match them to your interior theme. Pirate setup? Boom – full pirate outfit on display. Jungle vibes? Throw in a tamed Midnight Panther and casually remind everyone you own one. Subtle flex. Very subtle.

Unsurprisingly, the Podium of Renown quickly became a must-have for decorators. Like, if you didn’t have one… were you even decorating?

So – have you ever thought about getting one yourself? If yes, then you’re in the right place. Let’s dive in!

OUTFITS

Want to check out your outfits and play dress-up for a bit? Easy.

Just open your character menu (depending on your settings, it’s usually something like ctrl + right-click) and hit “Customise Character”. That’ll pop open a window where all the magic happens – you can switch outfits, add or remove addons, and tweak colors until everything looks just right (or completely unhinged, no judgment).

And the best part? You can also try on stuff you don’t even own yet. Yep – things like the Golden Outfit, Royal Costume, or outfits from the Tibia Store are all fair game here. Perfect for testing your dream look and seeing how it fits your vibe before committing.

Basically, it’s a dressing room… but in an MMORPG. Enjoy 😄

MOUNTS

Want to take a look at your mounts (or just see what you look like riding something cool)? Same place as before.

Open your character menu (usually something like ctrl + right-click, depending on your setup) and click “Customise Character”. That’ll bring up the window where you can hop on a mount, switch between them, or even go full chaos mode and pick a random one.

You can also preview mounts you don’t own yet – including the ones from the Tibia Store – and check if they actually match your outfit and overall vibe. Because let’s be honest, not every mount goes with every look… and we do care about aesthetics here 😌

PODIUM OF RENOWN

HOW TO GET IT?

In the case of the Podium of Renown, the way to get it is quite obvious. It should simply be purchased from the Tibia Store for the amount of 500 Tibia Coins.
Unfortunately, there is no way to obtain it in an alternative way. Wanting to display a few outfits and/or mounts from the game in our house permanently, we have to expect a rather significant expense.

As with other decorative items from the Tibia Store, once purchased, the podium will appear in the Store Inbox.

ITEM SPECIFICATION

NOT PICKABLE – note that you can not pick this item to your backpack. The only way to take it with you is to wrap it to your Store Inbox.
WRAPPABLE – you can wrap this item directly to your Store Inbox by choosing this option in the item menu, and unwrap it in any place at your house or guildhall.
MOVABLE – you can move your podium by pushing it on the ground.
BLOCKING – unfortunately, you can not walk on this object, nor put other items freely on the top of it. Placed on the road it will block the passage.

HOW TO USE IT?

The podium is permanently stored in our Store Inbox. Optionally, it can be moved to the deposit. Wanting to set the item in the house, expand the list of options (depending on our settings, for example, right-click) and select “Unwrap”. Wanting to hide the item – select the item menu analogously and choose “Wrap”.

To be able to change the options of our podium, we must expand the item menu, then select “Customise Podium”.

SELECTING THE OUTFIT

The window for setting up a new podium will open with… nothing on it. Just an empty stage waiting for its star.

To actually display something, just tick “Outfit” on the left. By default, the podium will show the first outfit from the list on the right – easy. That list includes both outfits you own and the ones you can only “try on” for testing – like the Golden Outfit, Royal Costume, and those blue-highlighted Tibia Store outfits you haven’t bought (yet!).

Just keep in mind: for the podium itself, you can only use outfits you actually own. The rest are there purely for testing colors and vibes – window shopping, Tibia-style.

SEARCHING THE OUTFIT

The outfit list can get really long. Like… scroll-for-days kind of long. You can trim it down by selecting the option to show only the ones you actually own. But if you’re looking for something super specific, the easiest way is to just use the search and type in the name.

Save your scroll wheel the struggle!

CUSTOMIZE THE OUTFIT

The podium customization window works pretty much like the character customization screen – so yep, more dress-up fun. On the left, you pick which addons to display, and in the center, you adjust the colors to get the look just right (or intentionally chaotic).

And here’s a nice bonus: the podium lets you display an outfit in the other gender version. Got a female character? No problem – you can still showcase the male version of your favorite outfit in your house.

SELECTING THE MOUNT

What about mounts? Pretty much the same deal!

To put a mount on the podium, just tick its appearance in the bottom-left section of the customization window. By default, the podium shows outfits, so if you want to expand to mounts, make sure to select it in the center section. That will bring up a list on the right with all rideable creatures.

And just like with outfits, the list includes only mounts you actually own plus Tibia Store ones you can “try on” to see how they’d look with your outfit. Just a little temptation for you! 😉

SEARCHING THE MOUNT

And again, just like with outfits – if the list feels overwhelming, you can trim it down by ticking “Only mine” to show just the mounts you actually own.

And if you’re after something specific, the easiest way is to just type its name into the search bar and skip the scrolling altogether 😄

SHOW/HIDE PODIUM

Showing or hiding the podium is basically one of the most important things when decorating with this item. Sure – if you want to flex a rare outfit or mount, that chunky grey stand works perfectly as a display piece.

But if you’re using an outfit or creature as part of a bigger theme, it’s usually better to hide the podium and let everything blend naturally into the scene. No need for the stand to steal the spotlight.

SHOW/HIDE FLOOR

The tiled background (those neat little 1×1 SQM squares) helps you get a better sense of how an outfit or mount actually fits into the game world. It gives you a clearer idea of its size – which can be a bit tricky to judge against a plain background.

But if the grid starts to feel more distracting than helpful, you can simply turn the floor off at the bottom of the window and focus purely on the creature itself.

ROTATE

Curious how your outfit and/or mount looks from different angles? The “Customise Podium” window lets you rotate it and check it out from various sides. Just use the arrows in the lower left and right corners of the floor (background) to spin it around and find its best side!

ANIMATIONS

Some outfits and mounts displayed on the Podium of Renown are animated, while others stay completely still. The animated ones definitely add extra charm and make your setup feel a bit more “alive”.

So what does that actually depend on? Pretty simple.

In the game, visuals can have two types of animation:
1) idle animation,
2) movement between SQMs.

The podium shows the idle state. So if an outfit or mount only has a static (single-frame) idle version – it’ll just stand there, no movement. But if its idle state includes multiple frames, you’ll see it animated on the podium.

In short: no idle animation = no movement. Idle animation = instant glow-up! ✨
